OVERVIEW
Our advisors at Compass have served as financial advisor to Spartanburg County School District No. 7, South Carolina since 2005. In 2015, Compass worked with District officials to plan and structure a major District-wide capital renovation project. A year later, District constituents voted to approve a $185,000,000 bond referendum that included the construction of the $150,000,000 Spartanburg High School campus. The 189-acre campus includes a 407,449 square foot state of the art high school, athletic fields and fieldhouse, outdoor class space, walking trails, and a fine arts center.
FINANCING PLAN
Compass advised on a series of short-term Bond Anticipation Notes and long-term Bonds to finance the referendum projects. The financing plan was tailored around existing debt service requirements and millage constraints while meeting the cashflow needs of the project.
